Hi. My name is Lara.
I majored in English, Writing and Publications, at the University of North Georgia, where I also earned my post-baccalaureate in English, Secondary Education. My master's-level E.S.L. teaching endorsement is from the University of Georgia.
I am a Georgia-certified educator with eight years of teaching experience. I also have five years of experience as a testing coordinator for both the S.A.T. and A.C.T.
I am also a two-time award-winning journalist with the Georgia Press Association. I have worked full-time for The Times, Gainesville, Ga.; Forsyth County News, Cumming, Ga.; and Habitat for Humanity International, Americus, Ga. My work has also appeared in The Paper, Braselton, Ga.; Burnaway.org, Atlanta; and Atlanta City Magazine.
In my spare time, I love to camp and play with my dog.
